CALETA DE FUSTE
The natural features of this cove, or caleta, mean that there is a gentle slope into the sea, it is protected from waves, and there are no dangerous currents. The beach has been created from imported sand, and other bathing areas have been made around lagoons created by digging into the rock behind the shoreline and then importing sand, the new beaches going down toward the Atlantico centre, are now completed.

SOTAVENTO
Sotavento beach is quite different in nature depending on whether the tide is in or out. When it is out it is a an expansive beach where you tend to be sand-blasted. When it is in the beach disappears to be replaced by a spit that runs for a couple of kilometeres.

JANDIA
The beach at Morro Jable is also known as the Playa del Matorral, and also as Playas de Jandia. The beach has the usual water sports activities going on and it is possible to go sailing in a hired boat. The beach at Jandia is informally divided into a naturist section to the left of the lighthouse when looking out to sea, and a clothed, but not many, to the right. There are sunbeds available on both sections and the sea is pleasant for swimming. Morro Jable's naturists tend to frequent the area to the left of the Lighthouse as you are looking towards the sea.

CORRALEJO
Is at the northern tip of the island and is built around what was originally a small fishing port. There are several beaches in the immediate area. The ones closest to the town centre are family friendly as they provide a safe environment, and they are also close to the facilities that a family may need. A family beach with no naturists.

PLAYA BLANCA
Playa Blanca is a short walk from the centre of Puerto del Rosario. The white sand stretches for about half a mile and at the far end of the beach there is a warning sign about the nature of the currents, however during the summer there is a flag system to show when it is safe to bathe. There are also lifeguards at busy periods. It is used by the locals when they fancy an hour at the beach and by surfers as there is usually some surf here.

EL COTILLO BEACH
The white sandy beaches stretch for miles to the south of El Cotillo. They are on the west coast of the island and therefore the waves tend to be larger than average. The size of the beaches means that even on a busy day it is possible to have lots of space to yourself. You can get the number seven bus from Puerto Del Rosario, or the number eight from Corralejo. The beach to the south of El Cotillo is huge and so it is easy to find a quiet spot for naturist bathing.
