Development opportunities
Hotetur invites you to become part of the leading holding company in the tourism industry in Spain. Hotetur was founded in 1991 and is the hotel branch of the largest tourism enterprise in Spain, the Marsans Group. Marsans is comprised of a number of consolidated firms in the tourism industry including Aerolíneas Argentinas, Mundi Color, Viajes Marsans and Trapsa. Marsans also owns first-class international tour operators and travel agencies.
The holding is owned by Gerardo Díaz and Gonzalo Pascual, two well-known and respected Spanish entrepreneurs. Mr. Díaz was recently named president of the Spanish Confederation of Business Enterprises (in Spanish, CEOE). Mr Pascual was president of Spanair, the first unquoted airlines in Spain, from the time of its creation until its recent sale to SAS Airlines.
Hotetur has a distinctive strategy for its two brands: Hotetur Hotels & Resorts, our family product, and BlueBay Hotels & Resorts, our 5-star brand. Each brand has an explicit experience promise that meets clearly defined customer needs and profiles and is delivered by brand-specific committed professionals.
Our management team has set ambitious targets for the period 2007-2010 which involve doubling the principal measures of our operation (billing, EBIDTA and number of bedrooms). The value of our company has reached several hundred million euros and we are replicating the success achieved with our own funds through management contracts and franchises with external partners carefully selected. The mix of recruitment resultant in 2010 will be so much more balanced towards the management, which lead to a faster growth of our brands in the following years. We are focusing our development strategy in very specific geographic areas such as Costa Rica, Brazil, Spain, Morocco, Tunisia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Egypt, Cyprus, Greece, Turkey and Arab Emirates. Some of these destinations are already a reality.
