Diving
Many scuba divers consider Lanzarote as one of the Europa's best zones to submerge. With visibilities of up to 40 m, Lanzarote's waters are of the most transparent of the world. The temperature of the water is about 24°C in summer and 20°C during winter, allowing the ski-diving during the whole year.

Windsurf
Playa Blanca At the southern part of Lanzarote, this white sand beach where you can take a look from Fuerteventura, is a spot where trade winds use to blow out very often. Despite to raise soft, it canalize between the two islands and allow slalom sailing many days during summer.
Los Pocillos Just above Puerto del Carmen, this beach is perfect for beginners, it has north-east wind. Sea is flat and wind is softer than in the north. Although sometimes, when trade winds reach strong, it raise some waves.
Las Cucharas The best known spot on Lanzarote is also a main tourist beach in Costa Teguise. The Passat is blocked in most places by buildings but can become strong at times. In Las Cucharas bay the wind blows the hardest. Due to the flat water conditions and strong, steady winds further out, this is the place for freestylers.
Jameos de Agua Definitely a spot for wave riders. Jameos del Agua is surrounded by pure nature and is situated about 20 kms from the north of Costa Teguise. This spot is probably the hardest one to surf, technically. The waves break in multiple sections over the volcanic reef. To reach a take off site, you'll have to cross volcanic rock, so be advised to wear suitable footwear.
Famara Famara enjoys possibly one of the longest stretches of beach on the island of Lanzarote, curving round under the cliffs, which stand like sentinels protecting it from the rest of the island. The strong currents mean that it is not advisable to swim in the sea at Famara — most people you find in the water are experienced surfers — these currents also explain the unusual phenomena that the beach is sandy in summer and rocky in the winter.

Famara The Famara inlet, flanked by the spectacular cliff bearing the same name, is a fabulous area for sports activities primarily surfing or paragliding. In this protected natural zone, you will find a quiet fishing village with several restaurants, supermarket and surf shops.
